ABOUT LEGACY INSURANCE & INVESTMENT GROUP, LLC
GREAT Program
|
The GREAT Program was created by Jose Perez and the Azuela Elementary school administration in 2016. This program was made to help motivate young students in developing their ideas and dreams for future career paths. The program brings established professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and math to the communities in greatest need of career exploration opportunities. We believe this gives young people broader exposure to the working world they will one day enter. We strive to motivate students to improve academic performance, attitudes towards their career options, and encourage students to plan their high school courses of study. Ultimately, we want to allow the students to be aware of the realities of life. Legacy strives to allow them to more easily envisions how they fit successfully into the working world.

Make-A-Wish
With make a wish, we hope to be able to grant wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions. Because of this Jose was inspired to be a volunteer as well as help with donations and granting wishes. He has over a decade of participation with this organization. We believe in giving these children an amazing experience and a chance to dream. A wish come true for these kids has the power to make them feel stronger, more courageous, and more determined to overcome their illnesses. We want the wish experience with Make-A-Wish, to be a helpful and effective turning point for the kid's battle against their illness. Jose has happily and faithfully granted a total of 42 wishes in a timeframe of 12 years.

NHAE
Network of Hispanic Administrators in Education (NHAE) is an association of veteran principals and committed individuals that work closely with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS). This group of motivated individuals seek the empowerment and growth of young educators that are looking to advance in their careers. They help with community service outreach and a variety of different programs, some of which help college students become teachers, and others that aid in teachers striving to become principals. Jose Perez is the founder of the Aspiring Instructional Leader Scholarship. This scholarship is to teachers who are perusing a type 27 licensing or master’s degree to become future principals. Jose Perez has been an active member of this outstanding organization for 12 years.

Community Scholarships
Jose Perez has been working hand in hand with many different organizations, schools and community outreach programs. The reason for this relationship is to build a sense of community with those in need and willing to help. Scholarships are a great way to motivate and help with the financial burden that some of us are faced with. Scholarships are awarded not only to students but also to administrative personal striving to advance in their career as educators. Over a 22 year span, Jose and Legacy has awarded an estimated 75 scholarships as a way to help the community prosper. A big part of helping others grow is by giving back. Here at Legacy we dedicate ourselves to helping grow our communities, businesses and individuals.
